Ottawa Visit (June 28th-30th, 2013)

So looking to visit my friend in Ottawa since I haven't graced the city in well over 10 years.  I hopped on a bus first thing on Saturday morning to get to the downtown core of the city.  11am and the city is still slowly moving that day so it made it quite nice for some landscape shots and large buildings.  Weather was once again a gorgeous partially cloudy day and made for some good shots (with a little help from photo shop haha).

Algonquin Highlands Trail

Unfortunately for this excursion I was taking more video footage than I was taking photos so the shots are limited.  However, it was a nice bonus that we got some amazing weather and a few animals came out of hiding after a long winter.  One little guy (seen below) wasn't camera shy at all and seemed to get a lil closer every time I tried to focus.

St. Patty's in Boston (March 15th-18th, 2013)

After a bombshell of a St. Pats in 2011, I was determined to head to a place where they know how to celebrate a day of drinking, laughter and good music.  My first stop on this adventure was the Boston Gardens to see the Dropkick Murphys in their hometown show (unfortunately I was too inebriated to take any pictures).  The rest of the weekend however was a chance to walk through the historic streets of Boston, have some pints and take some awesome snapshot.  Boston has so much history!

Brothers of Brutality Tour Live @ The Danforth Music Hall (Feb. 6th, 2013)

This was my first experience taking photos at the Danforth Music Hall.  It was a fairly busy evening with a fairly packed venue.  Sound was decent as more people started to pile in.  Only setback I had with this venue was the back lighting for shots.  Maybe because I was new to the game, but I had a hard time capturing lights in front of the band versus behind them so this brought out quite a bit of silhouette style shots.  This tour featured performances from The Plot In You, Obey The Brave (*not photographed), Unearth, Whitecapel, and Emmure.

Killswitch Engage/Shadows Fall @ The Opera House (Dec. 12th, 2012)

Whether I had a press pass and a camera in my hand, I was super excited to see two bands that I have loved since I was a teenager.  Killswitch Engage was celebrating the 10 year anniversary of their mega hit album "Alive Or Just Breathing" and decided to being Shadows Fall along for the tour.  No complaints there since I have seen both bands numerous times and enjoy every show.  The lights once again proved to be a little difficult and didn't blend the best (at times) with the focus of my camera.  Either way, there were a handful from each band that turned out nice so I can't complain.
